It’s short, and it exists. Most of this stuff is background music at best. I do like “Broken Tide,” but nothing else is that good.

Low Effort Surf Rock: Chrome Tides
One more day of work, and I’m off for a couple days again.
Hang in there. I need to get to bed as soon as I can, but things are moving in the right direction.
Low Effort Surf Rock: Broken Tide
This one is a pretty cool guitar rock instrumental, ending in a noisy ambience. Apparently that period of Treblo’s model was creative, but typically devolved into noise as the track progressed. As this one here does.
Low Effort Surf Rock: Break on the Reef
A mellow, low key piece that starts as ambient electronic and ends in the surf rock area.
Low Effort Surf Rock: Pipeline Panic
Not much surf in this one. It’s more light rock than anything.
Low Effort Surf Rock: Crashing Jets
“Low Effort Surf Rock” is another pretend-album. These tracks were generated while trying to recreate the “surfgazer” sound with Treblo. I haven’t gotten it right yet, but the tracks make for decent background music, and they’re still a viable “Way of the Waifu” sound. Moreso than some of the stuff I’ve posted lately.
Seems like something I would do . . .
Global Demographic Tipping Point: Elderly Now Outnumber Young Children for First Time in History
Global Demographic Tipping Point: Elderly Now Outnumber Young Children for First Time in History
Well, that’s sad. Good thing we’ll have robots to take care of the old people.
Slop-A-Tronics 9000 – Jungle West
Another example of the A.I. producing a male vocal when a female vocal is specified. I found it interesting, but it’s got nothing to do with Way of the Waifu.
That’s the last of that round of slop production. I guess I’ll have to push the button a few more times.
Comic fixes and thoughts
I knocked some more slop out of pg 2. I’m not totally happy. I got the A.I. to preserve my art style better on pg 2 than 1, but it didn’t smooth my pencils out as well, or fix bad anatomy. Which I didn’t prompt for, but it was improving the anatomy anyway. I could do a better job with my pencils, but then I wouldn’t have time to do things like “go to work.” I probably need to keep doing that.
The traffic boost on the 21st turned out to be a one-time-only deal, not a result of a change to Toocheke or WordPress. The traffic spike is weird and I can’t explain it, unless I have a thousand Jewish fans with nothing better to do on Yom Kippur. I doubt that’s the explanation, but “Shalom” if it is. Because of that one-day boost, this month’s traffic will be significantly better than last month’s – otherwise it would be about the same.
I’ll advertise on TWC again around pg 6 or 8, when this story arc wraps up. It’d be nice to have some new story posted for anyone who read the comic when it originally ran.
