Ride the Lightning Queen is the most popular song on YouTube by far, with 261 views between the regular Way of the Waifu channel and YouTube’s Way of the Waifu – Topic channel.  Oddly enough, the next most popular song is another Stuka track, Rush To, from the b-side album, with a staggering 130 views.  This song completes the metal section of the mini-album, and makes the second part of a duology with Moonlight Disgusts You.  The first song is the downfall of Seaman X, and the second is the beginning of the redemption arc.  Perfect 10 is the end of it.  Judging by the thumbnail for Perfect 10, Seaman X must have found her crystal and been made whole again.  And that’s probably as much of that story as I’ll get to tell.

About the title, I’m sure everyone realizes it refers to the best Sailor Scout, and not the song by the RIAA’s favorite thrash metal band, which fell out of favor with me when their drummer decided to battle Napster.   If you’re young, you’ll have no idea what I’m talking about, but there was a moment in time when popular musicians were saying “sue our fans, we want every penny of our money.”  And the fans were sued, because they got caught sharing music files with each other on Napster.  That’s not great for any musician to do, but the essence of a metal band’s act is basically “You’re miserable, here’s company.”  For musicians who got rich making music for people in bad mental places, to turn around and sue those same fans for more money (or be the poster boys for the organization doing it), seems like an extra vile form of betrayal.  It’s a minor footnote in history now, but it stuck with me.
